When upscaling files in ArcSoft TotalMedia® Theatre, SimHD™ utilizes NVIDIA® CUDA™ and ATI Stream™, the GPU computing technologies, which not only offer large performance benefits but also balance GPU and CPU usage*, enabling running of complicated tasks which requires demanding calculations, without sacrificing output quality.
SimHD is compatible with and requires previous installation of TotalMedia Theatre 3. To find out more about your TotalMedia Theatre version information, launch the application, right-click on the screen, and select "About".

Balances CPU and GPU Usage* NVIDIA's and ATI’s multithread, parallel GPU calculating technologies, efficiently balances CPU and GPU usage, providing vivid graphics in real time with unsurpassed processing speed.
Three Viewing Modes are Available
SimHD provides three different viewing modes for you to choose from:
Normal Mode - Apply SimHD to the whole screen.
Splitting Mode - Divide the screen into left and right, and play the same scene across two screens. SimHD is applied on the screen to the right.
Comparison Mode - Divide the screen into left and right, and display the same scene on each for comparison. SimHD is applied on the screen to the right.
Windows Media Center Compatible SimHD now provides 10-ft experience, allowing you to enjoy upscaled images with the press of the remote, perfect for Home Theatre systems.
