Users of 5.1 or earlier will need to go through the process of getting a TMT 5.2+ Activation Code from this page:

http://www.arcsoft.com/support/free_upgrade.asp

We recommend doing this BEFORE INSTALLING. The page requires you to fill in your EXACT information used when you placed the original TMT5 order. So if you ordered as "Jonathan Smith" filling in "John Smith" will not work. If you changed emails, you must enter and have access to that old email address to get your new Activation Code. Some users will understandably have trouble with this process and customer service is available to help. Contact them here if you have trouble:

I can confirm that the "green screen" issue with hardware acceleration appears to be fixed.

Also, performance seems much improved. Discs load faster and the program responds quicker in Media Center. Very nice update.

 Thanks for update.

Any word on whether this build has the same SSD boot issue as 6.0?   I'm camped out on 5.X until 6 gets patched up.

Sorry, I'm not sure what fix you're asking about.

I didn't time it, but my understanding is that it should not have the 40-60 second delay that the current release of TMT6 has.

Jason, there was a patch that was made available from CS, a member posted it publically and he got 50 slashings on the wrist with a wet noodle for doing so, I think maybe by you ??? Wink
It was a registry modification, if I find the post/thread I'll pin it here.

I thought that was for an issue in TMT6 that did not occur in TMT5?

Anyway, if it was for TMT5 then the fix would most likely be incorporated but I have no explicit info either way and haven't checked the fileset myself.

I think the mkv fix is related to the inability to play mkv files made with a recent vwersion of mkv toolnix. This was an issue flagged in TMT6, but it also affected TMT5. The fix was a set of files provided on demand by CS.

As far as I can see it is the new mkv splitter in build 195. So it should be able to read recent mkv files.
