ArcSoft Demonstrates Newly Releases 3D Webcam Application with HD Capability at Computex 2010 in Taiwan
— 6/1/2010 — Taipei Taiwan —
"Although 3D technology has been around for a while, the general focus has revolved around playback," said Sean Bi, GM of ArcSoft APAC. "WebCam Companion 3D enables users to create 3D content by capturing live webcam videos in 3D with the ability to upload their content to popular video sharing sites to share with family and friends."
Webcam Companion also includes HD capability by using an optimized ArcSoft MJPEG Decoder which can deliver 720p HD video at 30 frames per second, two to four times faster than an OS default MJPEG Decoder in some systems. It also supports several size preview resolutions at high FPS and hardware acceleration as well as smart rendering.
This application provides many editing features including: editing recorded videos, uploading 720p/1080p widescreen videos or images to sharing websites, and resizing snapshots with SimHD®.
