Glad to hear you discovered that before purchasing. I've been up front with customers on this issue for this very reason--the hope that while we might not do everything you want, you are aware of it prior to purchasing and don't have to deal with the unpleasantries of not getting what you thought you were buying.
Glad to hear the Blu-ray worked well. Maybe someday that will be more important to you, or MKV will be more important to us and meet your needs.

Don't expect subtitle and multiple audio track support to come along at the same time. If you rip your own MKVs you'll still be able to use again what worked before, and to rip MKVs from disc into a format that will play in TMT provided you set your options precisely. |
What MKV-properties etc must be met for the TMT3 to play the file correctly?
Just so we straighten this out before I start ripping my blu-ray collection to my home server.

3.0.1.120 > 3.0.1.160 = broken mkv for me
anyway good to see this getting fixed!
arcsoft should use directshow for mkv, mp4 and so on!

Not sure. Someone in this or another thread here said it was related to subtitles for them but all the info I got back is that the issue is verified and it'll be fixed.
If you're ripping your own collection prior to that fix being available, just try one first and verify it works before doing more.

Hi Jason,
any update on when the broken mkv support in 160 will be reestablished?
I just had a couple disappointed kids who wanted to see Star Wars tonight. It worked before and I just found out tonight, that what used to work is now broken.
Thanks!

I am already on buuild 160 and can play MKV file fine with TMT3.
The problem is playing MKV through Media Center with TMT as the external player still gives you unsupported file error
Am using Windows 7 64 bit

Issue resolved: I contacted Support and received a new file which I used to replace the original one in the installation directory. Since then all is well. I am also on Win 7/64 with TMT 3 Platinum with SimHD and build 160.
BTW, I temporarily fixed my mkv-problem by going back to build 140 and noticed accidentally a significant deterioration of SimHD (blue iscoloration of lips and skin around eyes), that is gone in build 160.
Now with the new file and back on build 160 I have both fixed........

100% of my MKVs created with RipBot264 then burned to ISO with ImgBurn work perfectly - 1920x1080 as well as DTS THd/MA.

Applied the patch and tested a few mkv files. All opened with the standalone software. Problems opening the same files with the MyMovies plugin.

I tried to E-mail support but the page was not working.
MOD EDIT: PERSONAL INFO REMOVED.
YOU'LL NEED TO WORK OUT THE ISSUE WITH CONTACTING CUSTOMER SERVICE TO OBTAIN THE FIX.
