The case: Clean install of Win 7 64 bit using latest drivers / bios / firmware / patches etc for all components / programs (Asus Xonar 1.3 ( 7.12.8.1775), TMT 3 (160), Win 7 64 (Final), ATI 4200/785G (9.10)). Installed Powerstrip 3.87 Locked @ 23,976, 50 and 60 Hz (single monitor). Bitstream works fine @ 50 – 60 but not @ 23,976! Every 10-30 seconds I see momentarily the DTS Master Audio logo lightning up but it cannot ‘stay synced’. As I am working with these things for some months now, I am 100% sure that it is not a matter of something not set upped right. I had no problem with all of my previous setups (previous one (changes): ΑΤΙ 4550, Any ideas what could be going wrong? Actually I have many but I would like to know for starters if someone else with a similar setup (Win 7 (32 or 64) / ATI GPU / 23,976 (not 24!) / TMT 3) got it working. |

First guess is that your HDAV has not the 24p firmware. See here : http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20090205134644301&board_id=21&model=Xonar%20HDAV1.3&page=1&count=87

Problem Solved Had to do with hypermemory setting (onboard VGA) in BIOS It doesn’t work with Sideport Memory Enabled. A bit crazy but true! |
