I just picked up the Star Trek 2009 Movie in bluray format. The title screen which is encoded in VC1 gets hardware acceleration, however the main movie and menu uses MPEG4-AVC (h264) and hardware acceleration gets turned off for this.
I know MPEG4-AVC acceleration is available as with some home movies that use AVCHD, and MPEG4-AVC codec, the information tab shows Hardware Acceleration supported.
I have an ATI HD 2600 Pro AGP card. I am running Windows 7.
I have tried the Movie under Windows XP and it uses Hardware Acceleration, its only under Windows 7 that it gets turned off for MPEG4-AVC, but only with this movie (its my first bluray movie - so i don't have others to test).
I tried PowerDVD 9 trial and PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra Oem which I have under windows 7 and both work fine, providing Hardware Acceleration. Any idea's on how to fix the bug?
I have tried the ATI 9.10 drivers and the built in Windows 7 driver for the video card, and both have the same issue.
