Feel free to test this BETA release before it goes live on our automatic update servers. You'll note some of the issues reported specifically in 128 (24hz flaw for example) have not been addressed yet--we're still looking into a number of those reports. Confirmed as fixed for me
Note: While this version is running fine I did have some initial problems after the upgrade where TMT would not run and the PC would freeze requiring a Hard Reset. After several rounds of this Trend Micro reported an issue with its update and was doing a roll-back and magically TMT was then fine. I notice that Trend Micro then did an update again to a later Version of the Virus Scanning file but all is good.

I have no proof, but this is what I believe...
If you have played any movie in TMT, restart the PC before running a TMT patch.
If you're pretty sure you haven't played any movies in TMT, restart the PC before running a TMT patch just in case.
If you're absolutely positive you haven't even touched TMT since restarting but possibly glanced at the TMT icon, restart the PC anyway before running a TMT patch.

You know what! I'd just run a movie and then did the upgrade! (thanks - good to know in the future)

Jason, can you elaborate on "Update power management"? Does that mean TMT no longer changes the power management settings? I really hope so.

So far, so good :) I don't see the "require password on wakeup" getting set to true using standard interface, and I don't see a green line. I've only been able to test on an HD-DVD HD4550 system thus far, but it seems OK.
Only complaint would be that it stutters pretty bad skipping chapters in HD-DVD. I'm pretty sure this is new for .129, but am not 100% certain. What I see is hitting skip forward causes between two and four stutter-steps before it smooths out. ("The Bourne Supremacy" HD-DVD / VC-1). Not a big deal to me personally, but thought it was worth a mention.
The machine I tested on *is* AHCI (Intel ICH8), but I didn't have any issues with HD-DVD before, so I don't know what to look for with this bullet point. If you have something you want me to try, please let me know. Be advised, I only own 2 HD-DVDs I can try (Bourne Supremacy and Transformers) so my feedback options on this are quite limited.
I'm also replacing the HDD in the real HTPC this weekend, so hopefully I can also test this beta against Blu-Ray/HD4550 for you there as well. What's one more System Restore if it doesn't work out, right? It's "hopefully" in that the Mrs. is away during the day on Sat/Sun, but everything needs to work by the time she gets home, if you know what I mean - lol.
edit: I think it's pretty cool that you guys have released a "beta" to us forum trolls again. If anyone's keeping score, count me under the positive column. I. for one, really appreciate this type of release support. THANK YOU. Edited by djp952 - 23 Jan 2009 at 10:15pm |

This is fixed for me in .129 now. Thanks for the quick turn around from 128 to 129, and for giving us access up front. As always, we appreciate it.

I don't suppose this update works with Windows 7 Beta by any chance?
