In the iMon mangager (under Settings -> Program Command) bring up the XPMediaCenter profile (or the profile you use for controlling Media Center). If the shortcut for any functions are set to multimedia keys you can change them to be the equivalent keyboard shortcut. For example, the function Play was set to shortcut (Play). I changed that shortcut to (Left Ctrl) + (Left Shift) + (P). This should make it work with TMT while maintaining regular Media Center functionality. You can find a list of actual Media Center shortcuts here: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/e69eb36f-de61-4e80-8fe3-f3835b8e3e261033.mspx

Thanks for the information.

This does work when launching the Arcsoft TMT3 VMC player, either via the "Play BD & HD DVD" icon that points to PlayerLoader.htm, which the Arcsoft install creates on the VMC start menu or by using the VMC Media Browser add-in.
In this scenario only Windows Media Center is listed in applications in task manager.

The transport controls on the remote control work after I added in the Keyboard shortcuts in to iMon, rather than using the Multimedia keys.

However I now have an issue with My Movies, I told it to add in it's integration for TMT3.
The problem is when in the My Movies VMC UI when I watch a Blu-ray movie from here by clicking the watch button, My Movies seems to launch the uMCEDVDPlayer.exe application seperately rather than the HTML one that sits inside the VMC application.

So in task manager under applications I have both Windows Media Center and Arcsoft TMT for Windows Media Center are running.
In this situation whenever I hit a button on the remote, Pause, Stop etc VMC is brought to the front and the uMCEDVDPlayer.exe window goes to that back, affectively making it not possible to control TMT3 when it is launched from the My Movies UI.

Hope this makes sense!

EDIT:

I've sorted this now, I had to un-check Use Exclusive Mode in the iMon settings and add back in uMCEDVDPlayer.exe to the iMon Program Command and import the XPMediaCenter profile for it.

OK after messing about with this for the best part of a day now, (Arcsoft / SoundGraph you really need to make this much easier to setup) the only thing I can't seem to get working is the Volume Up / Down on the remote control when in TMT3 in "VMC mode".

As TMT3 uses different keyboard shortcuts than Media Center and the Media Center volume keyboard shortcuts don't seem to work in TMT.

TMT:

Shift+UpArrow - Increase Volume
Shift+DownArrow -  Decrease Volume

Media Center:

F10 - Increase Volume
F9 -  Decrease Volume

When TMT3 is launched by My Movies the volume buttons on the remote do work for me, because for the uMCEDVDPlayer.exe program I added the TMT volume keyboard shortcuts in to the iMon Program Command configuration.

However when TMT3 is launched by Media Browser or the VMC start menu icon (VMC Mode) the volume controls don't work as uMCEDVDPlayer.exe is not running and only Windows Media Center, so iMon is using the XPMediaCenter Program Commands.

Obviously I had to use F9 / F10 on the XPMediaCenter profile in Program Command in iMon for the volume buttons on the remote to work in the rest of Media Center and I cannot also add in Shift+UpArrow / Shift+DownArrow for TMT as well.

Interestingly however I was able to get the mute button working in TMT3 in "VMC Mode" as both F8 (Media Center) and Q (TMT) keyboard shortcuts seemed to work in TMT, but F9 & F10 don't for some reason?

So I guess this volume issue, is a limitation with no solution? Arcsoft should have used the same keyboard shortcuts as VMC then this would not be a problem or you need to ensure F9 & F10 also work in TMT as well for volume control.

I never have these issues with PowerDVD9 and iMon IR / VFD only Arcsoft, in fact I don't think I had to configure a thing in iMon Manager, for the PowerDVD 9 VMC add-in to work properly with a standard MCE remote control and the iMon IR device.

Thanks

Here is what I did. I run the asus version of TMT3 and imon and It does not run inside of Media center. I added the program under the arcsoft directory "digital theatre" or something like that. Then import the functions from PowerDVD8. Then I played a BD and figured out what buttons do not work. Next print out the help file section for keyboard commands. Then go back in and edit them to whatever you want. I think I have every button doing exactly what I want now and even assigned the "picture" key to take snap shots during the movie.

I am still dead in the water, even after the 160 release and the latest iMon version. I filed a support request with ArcSoft a very long time ago, but haven't gotten anything out of it (still pending).

Strangely, the TMT3 VMC UI launched by itself reacts properly to the "multimedia keys" as sent by iMon, so it is possible to make these 2 work together. However, when launched from VMC itself, it doesn't work anymore. Unfortunately, that's how I use TMT3.

I can't use the keyboard shortcuts instead of the media keys because that breaks the Netflix app in VMC...

Anybody successful (or feedback from ArcSoft)?

Laurent

I raised for a ticket this a while back as well. Supoport know of the bug but as yet don't seem to have done anything about it. It means most of the time I end up using my wireless keyboard insted of my Harmony remote.

Maybe Jason can give us an update on the status of this problem.

Victory is ours!

The latest iMon update 7.77.1022 fixes the TMT3 issue. It's all working nicely now!
They also claim they have a specific TMT3 profile (not tested). It also claims win7 support (not tested either).

DOWNLOAD

Enjoy.

Things are looking up.. seems to work well exept that on the bluray i tried it with hitting menu brought up the main menu rather then the menu that comes up while the movie continues to play however I just tried it on one bluray that i have on rental so it might have been normal for that bluray. Anyone else tried this?

I _think_ that's a general BD issue. Some use the "main menu" (menu key). Some use the "popup menu" (new). What I end up doing when "menu" doesn't work is hitting "info" and in the menu, grabbing the "popup menu" if needed.
Otherwise, iMon is fully programmable, so you could add a key for the popup menu in addition to the regular menu key.

Note that I think that was also confusing in DVDs with the "menu" and "root menu".
