I've been trying to u/g my PM 4 Pro to v5 and am meeting one frustration after another on this ArcSoft site. When I enter my serial no. into the site for the u/g I'm told it's invalid. When I try and register my product on the site to get email support I'm also told it's invalid - so I can't email the support desk to find out what's going on (brilliant!). When I check under my previous orders the serial no. is the same as the one I'm using. When I try and email back the issue to the address that sent me the serial number and details from my original PM 4 Pro order I get a bounce saying the address isn't monitored, and to use the support link on the website, which I can't access because my serial number is apparently invalid... and round and round and round and round we go.

So, can SOMEONE from the ArcSoft team please contact me on my email address and let me know just what I have to do to get the upgrade, plus why my old and current serial is listed as invalid? Thank you!

Same thing happened to me. I sent a message to the general contact email and they sent me a serial number that worked.

No support but one more client with the same problem. I've got a CD version installed (in Russian) but now can't find even serial No because don'r have "REGISTER" menu when running the programm. There are only "Files", "View", "Extra functions" and "Help". The same situation was when I tried to upgrade my PanoramaMaker 4 to Pro version and that is why I had to buy CD-box version instead of upgrade. That time they explained that changed their selling partner and use now new system of Serial Numbers. Is the story repeating now?

In any case, if anybody can tell me where can I find the Serial Number in local version, it would be great...

Thanks in advance.

It's unfortunate that the method has varied from product to product, and even within the same product over time and with the hundreds of variations fo the product to meet demands of our various OEM customers even we can't keep track of them all.

In most current software, it can be found by selecting Start: ArcSoft Connect: View My ArcSoft Info.
