The downmix of DTS 5.1 through SPDIF from TrueHD has been added to TMT2 for sometime (not in the early built but added after some patches). You should have 3 options under Audio tab. The second one is "Enable down sample rate (192kHz)" which is doing nothing as Jason said. The third is "Enable Audio Mixer" which should give you DTS 5.1. My gear doesn't have DD live so I believe it should work for all if you can check this option. The difference in TMT3 is that it can let you choose either downmix to DTS or DD 5.1 for non-DTS capable receiver. All versions of Powerdvd should behave the same.
Do you have the option "Enable Audio Mixer" under Setup->Audio with your TMT2? Unless your receiver can't handle DTS, which should not be in your case, I see no reason why you can't get proper 5.1 unless somehow the option "Enable Audio Mixer" doesn't show up.

No, I do not have the "Enable Audio Mixer" option. DTS downmix works fine however. It is just DD True HD which I will miss unless I upgrade to a new receiver. But I found a fix for that: since my gear is multichannel capable I temporarily disable SPDIF for films with DD True HD streams and use the onboard analog ALC890 7.1 output to feed my receiver. Not optimal but not bad either.
If you can check "Enable Audio Mixer" you will be able to send TrueHD as DTS 5.1 to your receiver. I also use 7.1 analog before TMT add this Mixer function. I see you have the latest TMT2 so no idea why your player doesn't have it.
This is just more proof that my "audio suggestion" I made yesterday should be taken into consideration. Give us the ability to output to 5.1 (or 7.1) analog regardless of Windows default setting so that we can get all the HD channels from True HD and DTS Master HD and still keep Windows set to "Digital". Arcsoft_Jason, is this possible or something that's been thought of or discussed?

So you are saying that TMT2 (and 3) should be able to re-encode a DD HD Stream (do not mix it up with DTS HD) to DTS 5.1? That is hard to believe.

Darn. See if you can put a bug in someone's ear. I
can't believe I'm the only who'd like to see this as a feature.
Put me on the list. Although I was able to program a script to toggle SPDIF using my remote it is still an extra step. However, I assume this behaviour could be related to content protection restrictions.

Yes it does. TMT2 can downmix TrueHD to DTS 5.1 through spdif, and you can choose either DD 5.1 or DTS 5.1 in TMT3. This works for Bluray only and not HDDVD. Spiderman 1 being the first disc I have only got TrueHD.
