Angry I too am having a problem with this product. It was supplied with a Veho Neg and slide scanner. It appears to install OK but it does not respond to 'Calibratre' and when I click 'Aquire', I get the error message "UTwainexe.exe has stopped working". It does not load any images.

I don't know if Arcsoft ever read these forums but the Technical Support is no help at all. Their response was to blame the device drivers as if their product is infallable.  I know the device does work fine as I am able to load images from it into Picasa. The problem is

emphatically with UTwainexe.exe which is a file within Photoimpression 6 but ArcSoft will not bring themselves to admit this.

i found a solution for this issue
it is a conflict between two devices and there software
in my case it was as simple as disconnecting a webcam
it could also be printers, scanners, cameras ect
hope this helps
