I've just purchased and installed V120 of TMT primarly for Blu-ray & HD-DVD Playback to replace PowerDVD as it is getting harder to have HD-DVD Playback enabled with this SW.
I'm currently only getting a Black Screen (but I do get sound) when playing original Blu-ray / HD-DVD's disks using V120 (note: other video file types play fine). The problem is regardless of if I have my HTPC directly connected to my TV or via a Receiver. Of course PowerDVD works fine.
I got it working (thanks to the folk at AVSFORUM) by replacing the EVR and VMR Render.AX files with ones apparantly from an old Japanese Beta.......
Jason can you please advise why this is needed and if it will be addressed in later releases as I really don't want a non-supported "patched" system - this is why I purchased TMT instead of sticking with PDVD....
Thanks
Nathan
PS - My first impressions on PQ and AQ are good but I will have to watch some movies to really see how it goes.

It should not be needed, isn't technically supported, and can cause display issues in various cases that don't happen with the current versions of the file. Of course, I understand your desire to have it working in some capacity until we can resolve why the current filters don't work for you. Hopefully the customer service team will be able to assist promptly.
FYI - it seems that there are a fair number using this workaround at present if the feedback I got at AVS is anything to go by. Happy to help the techs work out this issue.
Most people do not need it any longer, it is just information kept around from the early days. Some of us (me included) still need it. I am waiting on opening a ticket until I see if I will buy a new Intel mobo or keep the 8200. No sense in opening a ticket on a system which is going away.
Black screen bug is being actively investigated, but no progress so far in recreating it consistently or figuring out what is the common denominator between systems that suffer from this problem semi-permanently. (We do know that most of them can be fixed by reinstall of the OS, but that's obviously something we can't recommend as a solution.) While researching it, we have resolved several situations that also lead to the same situation, but since it still appears for users in 125 we know there's more to it.
