How to Import Media Files from Device to Media Library

You can import media files from a device into ArcSoft ShowBiz 5's media Library to create your own movie.

To import media files from a device:

1. Connect your device.

2. From the displayed message, choose to Import All or View the media files on your device. If you choose Import All, all media files are imported into the Library. If you choose to select specific files, you can view a file in the Preview Window. Press the Ctrl key to select several files. You can also filter the media files to only show photo, video, or audio files.

3. Once selected, click the Import to Library icon and those selected files are imported into the media Library. Filter the media files by date/name or photo/video/audio.

Note: A digital file with a green checkmark indicates the file already exists in the Library.

How to Import Media Files via Windows Explorer

To import media files via Windows Explorer directly into the Library:

1. Open the folder that contains your photos and videos via Windows Explorer.

2. Select the files to import to ArcSoft ShowBiz 5's Library.

3. Drag-and-drop them into the Library. You can filter the media files by date/name or photo/video/audio.

Note: Select the media type to import the corresponding files (for example, you need to select the Video tab to import video files).

4. Or you can click the IMPORT button to select and import your media files through the pop-up window.

How to Import a 3D Video

Importing 3D videos is performed the same way as importing 2D images.

To import 3D videos:

1. To drag-and-drop a 3D video from Windows Explorer, open the folder that contains your 3D videos via Windows Explorer. Select the files to import to the ShowBiz Library and drag-and-drop them into the ShowBiz Library.

2. To import 3D videos from a device, connect your device.
From the displayed message, choose to Import All or View the video clip on your device. If you choose Import All, all video clips are imported into the Library.
If you choose to select specific clips, you can view a video in the Preview Window. Press the Ctrl key to select several files.

3. Once selected, click the Import to Library icon and those selected files are imported into the media Library. Filter the video clips by date or name.

Note: A video clip with a green checkmark indicates the file already exists in the Library.

How to Import Audio Files

Several sample audio sounds are provided with ShowBiz 5. You can also import your own audio files from a device or via Windows Explorer.

To import an audio file:

1. To drag-and-drop an audio file from Windows Explorer, open the folder that contains the audio file via Windows Explorer. Select the files to import to ShowBiz 5's Library and drag-and-drop them into the Library.

2. To import audio files from a device, connect your device.
From the displayed message, choose to Import All or View the media files on your device. If you choose Import All, all media files are imported into the Library.
Press the Ctrl key to select several files.
