ASF is abbreviated as Advanced Systems Format that's most commonly used for the purpose of streaming media. ASF depicts the structure of video or audio stream having .asf extension. ASF files store a wide variety of codecs that compress Audio and/or Video contents as streaming media.
Easy-to-do steps of ASF conversion
ArcSoft MediaConverter enables users to go through an easy to use process to convert ASF file formats into other video format with ease and in no time.
1.Launch the ArcSoft MediaConverter in standby mode at your computer.
2.Click on the "Video" icon on the left panel of the software below the label "Source" to select the desired ASF input file.
3.Select the desired ASF file from the input box. Make sure that you select the compatible ASF file you want to convert in other compatible file formats.
Choose your own preferences:
This advanced and fully automated ArcSoft MediaConverter also offers an opportunity to edit the preferences in the input file selected before final conversion. To edit the preferences in your ASF video file, a 
icon is offered on the input file dialog box. Click the icon to open a dialog box with a number of preferences to choose from.
Once you have decided and checked the preferences in the check box, click "OK" to save.
1.From the right top corner of the ArcSoft MediaConverter, click on 
icon to choose the output file format.
2.You will get a dialog box with title "Select Output".
3.Now select the available file formats from the thumbnail list of the file formats given in the dialog box. You may also search the specific format by using search bar.
4.Click on X to close the window if want to pause or fully abort the operation.
Once you have selected both the input file and output file from the software, you can now execute the final conversion process with ArcSoft MediaConverter.
1.To convert ASF file format into other format, click on "Start" button at the bottom right corner of the software.
2.A process bar starts running on the interface to show the percentage of the execution done at a given point of time.
3.You may click on the "Pause" alternatively to stop the process abruptly.
Once conversion is finished, a message of task accomplishment is displayed. Now you are ready to enjoy your favorite ASF tracks and videos in your favorite audio/ video format.
