ArcSoft 720° 2D VR technology is one of the earliest engines in the world that can locally perform real time processing and output. Our company has invested many years of work into researching core algorithms, resulting in a series of patented technologies and the accumulation of extensive experience and knowledge necessary for the development of rich visuals, hardware, and optical coupling within our 720° VR technology.

Ghosting effects are unacceptable in virtual reality environments. Over many years, ArcSoft has continued to perfect its anti-ghosting engine, which guarantees that the subject and objects of interest are free from ghosting effects.

Strongly structured content and subject location errors are problems commonly seen in Big-View VR configurations. ArcSoft’s patented multi-frame image alignment technology can integrate with VR engines to correct these issues.

Variations including lighting differences or changes, differences in environments caused by changing directions, moving objects and camera diversity can all cause VR technology to display abnormal phenomena, which is the key cause of nauseating virtual reality visuals and one of the central origins of discomfort to users. Because the use of software post-processing is usually not enough to ensure a unified image in virtual reality devices, ArcSoft has developed solutions to effectively correct these problems through years of cooperation with hardware, ISP and module manufacturers.

Through the use of a platform-independent compilation database, ArcSoft has combined highly efficient optimization of CUDA, NEON and DSP to achieve realtime processing and display while satisfying demands of low energy consumption, paving the way for handheld and small VR devices. High-performance resulting from these optimizations also makes 2K or 4K high-resolution output possible.

ArcSoft 3D Virtual Reality Technology
The collection and display of 3D VR content is the main method of creating a feeling of immersion within virtual reality technologies. Some common issues faced when attempting to create a more realistic experience include increasing the user’s field of vision or eliminating blind spots, as well as eliminating feelings of dizziness or nausea caused by operation, which continues to be the key problem in VR devices. High-performance requirements are also a constant difficulty faced in virtual reality development. ArcSoft has used many years of computer imaging algorithm and engine research to build a robust, high-speed 3D content collection and display engine which draws clear, unified content without ghosting effects or incorrect placement of the subject or virtual structures, resulting in a smooth, comfortable experience. Our current engine can support a 720 degree, full-angle, clear display at 10 centimeters.
